Pingos

This week during Social Studies we were learning about pingos. What is a pingo? Pingos are ice-cored mounds that rise up in permafrost zones like the Mackenzie Delta. Some are 20 to 25 meters tall! Ibyuk Pingo, Canada's tallest pingo is 49 meters tall and 300 meters across, making it the second tallest pingo in the world!
